Our Background:

QDL Contractors are a building and decorating contractor who provide a full range of services across South Wales and the Southwest. Formed in 2007 through the amalgamation of Q-DEC and D&L Builders & Decorators we have an established reputation based on decades of experience.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and strive to be a collaborative and positive contractor, delivering within project budgets and deadlines. Our quality management system is accredited to the ISO 9001:2015 QMS standard award.

Health and Safety:

Health and Safety is paramount, and we hold accreditations for CHAS, SMAS & Constructionline Gold as both a Principal Contractor and Subcontractor and maintain comprehensive insurance cover.

We value our people and employ local labour with a workforce of over 150 tradespeople in addition to a well established supply chain of approved subcontractors. We’re delighted that over 5% of our workforce are apprentices, gaining skills on CITB registered schemes.

We promote training and development and directly employ a full time HSE, Training and Development Manager. Our tradespersons all maintain skilled trade CSCS cards. In 2022, we delivered over 140 training days including SSSTS, SMSTS, asbestos awareness CAT A & CAT B, First Aid, face-fit, PASMA, IPAF & NVQs.

We care about the environment and have committed to the Business Wales’s Green Growth Pledge including developing our sustainability plan. We have also achieved the Silver Standard of the Green Dragon award and are active members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
